Hi I'm Ty James

I'm a young lad on a mission. Grew up in Cailfornia. I come from a family of six boys and one girl. I am a Mormon!!

About Me

Well I come from a big family full of love and support. I grew up in Southern California and I am currently on a mission in Alabama. I play football, soccer, and run track.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that it is Jesus Christ's church. Jesus Christ set up a church while he was on the earth and i want to be apart of it. I know that this is his church through the search of scriptures and personal prayer to our Heavenly Father. I know that Christ has given and authorized servants to lead and guide us today, that recieves revelation to keep us on that straight and narrow path in which we are to follow. I am following Christ's teachings to my fullest and I know that it is only through the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following in the footsteps of Jesus Christ. I am currently on a mission for the Lord in the Alabama Birmingham Mission serving for two years. I have seen my family blessed so much and I want to share that eternal happiness with those around me, this is a why to do that. I live my faith through five main simple ways. 1. Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and his Atonement. 2. Repentence. 3. Baptism by immersion for the remission of my sins. 4. Recieving the gift of the Holy Ghost. 5. Enduring to the End to the best of my ability. I live my faith for not only this life but the next to come. This time is the time to prepare and meet God so that i can remain clean and worthy to be in His presence. This is what am doing to live my faith and share it with others while I am on my mission in Alabama.

What is faith?

Ty James
Faith is hope. Faith is something that you believe in that cannot been seen. Faith is what we live by everyday. When we get in the car to start it, we have to have faith that it will start. If we look at the apostle Paul, he had to take the initial step of faith to walk on water. Faith is like a seed, without soil, water, and sun it cannot grow. Faith isn't tangible but we know it is there. We can build our faith several ways, but first we have to test it.   Show more Show less

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Ty James
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints do not worship Joseph Smith. Jospeh Smith was simply a man that inquired of the Lord on what he should do because of the concern of his soul. Jospeh Smith was only the man that restored Christ's church back to this earth through Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ built His church on apostles, prophets, and Himself as the chief corner stone. Jesus Christ is who is at the head of this church.   Show more Show less
