Hi I'm Daniel

I'm an immigrant. I'm a songwriter and composer. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I was born in Chile. My family and I immigrated to Utah when I was about 8 years old. I love my family. My little sister is my best friend. I love music! I love to sing, write, and play just about any kind of instrument I can get my hands on! I love to perform! On a date once we played guitar, sang and danced at a Wendy's and got free dinner. They kept trying to give us more food. It was awesome! One time I played as an extra in a Disney movie, I got to skip three days of school to be a sousaphone player in a marching band. I made like $80. I didn't know that that was low for three days work. I auditioned for a talent agency once, and failed miserably. It was a great learning experience. I spent a year playing guitar and ukulele in the bus every day on the way to work. Most people enjoyed it... eventually. I guess even though I came here when I was little I still don't forget where my family and I come from and why we're here in the United States. I believe we have great things to accomplish, once you've won the spiritual battle I guess all that there's left to do is just to do it!

Why I am a Mormon

I know for myself that this is where God wants me to be; not because my parents have forced me, or because I grew up believing what they believe, but really it is because what the scriptures say are true: if you ask God with all your heart, with faith in Christ, with real intent, God will answer you by the power of the Holy Ghost; and that is what God did for me. I know God lives, and I know that this is His church. That's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I'll only say this once: You can have FUN and LIVE THE GOSPEL. People often think that the Gospel is here... and fun is way over there... But what some people don't realize is that living the Gospel is what makes it fun! Real fun! Fun that won't end in tears, or shame, or feelings of guilt! Fun that God can be happy with. Yes God doesn't command us to go dance, or go to the theater, or go play ball, but He he doesn't command us not to either. I have yet to find a scripture or a commandment that says I can't play music, or go to a show, or play sports. You can have fun and still keep the standards that the Lord has set for us.
