Hi I'm Cindy

I'm a Mormon. I'm from Las Vegas, Nevada, and I have six children and seven grandchildren. I'm a school teacher.

About Me

I was a stay-at-home mom for several years until my youngest son was in elementary school. I decided to go back to college to get a teaching degree. After several years of taking a few classes at a time I finally got my degree and I am in my third year of teaching students with learning disabilities. My job can be very challenging at times, but I love my students and I hope I can make a difference in their lives.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have studied the teachings of the church and know them to be true. I know that I have a purpose here on earth. I know that I am a daughter of a loving Heavenly Father. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior. This knowledge gives me a feeling of peace in my life. I've seen how the gospel of Jesus Christ changes people's lives.

How I live my faith

I presently serve as the Young Women's President in my ward. I love working with the youth. I want them to know that they are daughters of a Heavenly Father that loves them and wants them to return to live with him some day. I have a son serving a mission in Texas. It's wonderful to hear of the experiences he has bringing the light of the gospel into other people's lives.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Cindy
We believe that families can be together forever. It's all a part of Heavenly Father's eternal plan for us. We believe it is important to maintain loving family relationships while we are here on the earth as these relationships continue on in the next life. Show more Show less
