Hi I'm Preston

I'm 18. I'm the third of six kids. I was home-schooled. I work at a library. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Preston. I'm 20 years old. My dad was in the army for a good chunk of my life, so I've lived in a few places, including Germany, Baltimore Maryland, and Oklahoma City Oklahoma, but we were stationed in southern Texas when he retired, so I consider that to be home. I am the third of six children, all of us were proudly educated at home. I love my family more than anything in the world and miss them when I'm away from home. When I was sixteeen I got my first job at the public library as a Library Aide (that's fancy talk for "the guy who puts all the books back on the shelves") and worked there for three years. I graduated from high school in 2010. I've participated in a couple of drama groups, and I love to act. I like to make people smile. I find drama to be a good way to connect with people. I love to make new friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. Having been home schooled gave me the unique opportunity to spend a lot of time with my family. I love my family more than anything in the world. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints I know that my family is forever. When we die my parents will still be married, my brothers and sisters and I will still be their children, and my brothers and sisters and I will still be brothers and sisters. I look forward to starting my own family someday. The gospel of Jesus Christ has helped me to be a better person. As I've worked to be more christlike I've found that I'm much happier. I'm not perfect, but I get a little better every day. I know that through Jesus Christ I can be better. Sometimes things are hard, but Christ is always there to help me. I know that with all my heart. I've had my fair share of hardships, but Christ's gospel gives me hope. One of my favorite scriptures is Romans 8:35-39. It talks about Christ's love for us and how nothing can take that from us. I know that's true. I know that my Heavenly Father loves me. I know that His son Jesus Christ loves me and that He died for me so that I can be clean from sin. I know that this is His true church on the earth today.

How I live my faith

I find happiness in serving others. I love my family and enjoy spending time with them and I enjoy learning and growing in the gospel with them. I'm an Eagle Scout and I support the values that are the core of the Boy Scout program. I look for oppertunities to help others whenever I can. I am currently serving a full time mission for my church. This has been one of the greatest priviledges I have had in my life. I love to teach and I love to give people the gospel I know and love.
