Hi I'm Trevor

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Utah. I served a mission in South Korea and have attended Brigham Young University, Utah University, Naval Postgraduate School, and Defense Language Institute. I've been in the military for the past ten years.  I'm married and have three children. Two girls, one boy. I just returned from a deployment to Afghanistan and I look forward to spending more quality time with my family in the future. I enjoy nature and the outdoors. I'm currently studying to get my private pilot license. I enjoy fresh and salt-water fishing, backpacking, cooking, gardening, learning languages, working out, cycling, flying kites, and sleeping.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family, therefore I attended church with my family during my childhood, teenage, and early adulthood years. From the time I served a mission in South Korea, my understanding of the gospel and The Plan of Salvation for all mankind that have, do, and ever will live on this earth, grew and continues to grow to this day. I'm more conscious and aware now of many more truths and precepts about life and who we all really are as children of a merciful, gracious, and loving Heavenly Father, who is the Creator of our very souls and existence. I continue to choose on a daily basis to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I have a testimony and a knowledge gained by confirmation through the Holy Spirit that the information and things that are claimed, taught, published, and proclaimed by all the leaders and members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, bear record of Heavenly Father, His Son Jesus Christ our Savior and Redeemer from physical and spiritual death, and the Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost. I know the Mormon Church, properly called The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, is led by He whose name it bears, our Mediator with our Father in Heaven and Elder Brother, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Currently, I'm a Sunday School teacher for the youth in my Ward. I'm also a Home Teacher, which means I have the privilege and stewardship for helping oversee the temporal and spiritual welfare of about three families in my Ward. I sustain the leaders of my Ward and those members who have callings by coordinating with them whenever they ask for volunteers to help them carry out activities and assignments they may need help accomplishing.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

It is going to take some effort on your part. You will have to exercise your faith and want to know the truth. You will have to study, ponder, and pray about everything you learn and think about. The Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost will testify of all truth to you through feelings that are good in nature. You may experience feelings than can often be described and calm, peaceful, warm, love, etc. These are all descriptions of the testifying of all truth by the Holy Spirit to every one who sincerely asks through prayer for answers to their questions.
