Hi I'm Kevin

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an outdoor enthusiast who loves my wife, fresh snow, slurpees, and anything that gets my heart pumping. I am a senior at Brigham Young University-Idaho studying geology and I love it. I love the earth and the myriad of incredible landforms found on it. I am currently focused on applying to grad schools all across the country.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I have come to know through my own personal experiences that the teachings found in the church are true. You really have to live the teachings to feel the power of God that comes with those promised blessings. I know that there is a living prophet on the earth today. what an incredible blessing! God cares about us just as He cared about those people in Biblical times, and He sends us His guidance today the exact way that He did in their time. As I have prayed to know if Thomas S. Monson was a prophet, and then lived according to the council he's given, I have received a firm answer that he is chosen of God. Through his council, combined with the Bible, Book of Mormon, and other scripture I have grown closer to my Savior Jesus Christ and my life has been immensely blessed.

How I live my faith

I have the opportunity to attend church weekly and participate in the meetings and interact with friends who are also there to learn more about God's plan, and other important topics relating to us. I also have the blessing to be able to visit certain families each month and share an uplifting message with them. All of these experiences combined with daily personal prayers and study of the scriptures combine to help me remain firm in my faith and feeling the lasting joy that only comes through Christ.

Can husband and wife be together forever? Do you believe that families will live together in heaven?

Kevin
One of God's greatest gifts to us on earth is the family. He has specifically organized families in a way that allows us to create bonds here on earth that will never be severed if we keep his commandments. This blessing is only extended if we will be married in the way that He requires. A marriage for eternity requires more than the permission of an earthly government, rather it requires the authority of God. Thankfully, that very authority has been returned to the earth and we can be blessed through worthy men who hold that authority. I have been married by a man holding that authority and have personally felt the power of God in my marriage. It has already been a source of strength for my wife and I in times of difficulty. I am so comforted to know that we can be together forever. Show more Show less
