Hi I'm Scott

I love football, basketball and outdoor activities with my family and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I work in the renewable energy industry developing Solar, Wind and Geothermal power projects. I've been in the electric utility industry for over 25 years. I really enjoy my work and the opportunity to develop clean green energy projects. I have a wife that I love dearly and three sons ages 24, 21 and 18. My boys are the joy of my life. I can't believe that they are now all young men. Seems like just yesterday that they were all little boys, blink and they've grown up and are off on missions or going to college.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church and was baptized when I was eight years old. I have ancestors that were some of the early members of the Church. In some cases they sacrificed a great deal to remain true to what they believed. While I truly respect the sacrifices that my ancestors made my testimony was developed through studying the scriptures, pondering and prayer. I have felt the burning from within and know the Church to be true. I am so grateful for the Savior, Jesus Christ and the sacrifice that he made for all of us. If we will but follow him and do as he has asked us to do we can once again live with Him. I am so grateful for the knowledge and peace that it brings to know that we can live as a family in our Fathers kingdom. I love my family and am grateful for their support and love. I can’t imagine not being able to be with them as a family unit after this life is over. I know that our Heavenly Father has always directed his children on earth through a prophet. I know that we have a prophet on earth today that is called of God. He directs us and if we will follow his guidance we can find peace in difficult times. I love the Savior and the unconditional love that he provides me. I strive to follow Him, being a Mormon has helped me to draw closer to Him in all aspects of my life.

How I live my faith

Being a member isn’t a Sunday only activity. Service in the Church provides each of us the opportunity to grow as well as to help others. I have served in the Young Men’s organization at both the ward and stake level. Being able to see the gospel make an impact in the life of a young man is great. My own testimony has grown by seeing the faith and service from the young men of the Church. I have had the opportunity to hike and camp in the Wind River Range, the Grand Canyon and other scenic areas on young mens activities. I have some great memories that I will always cherish from these experiences. I really believe that service to others brings us closer to our Heavenly Father. I try to live my faith as the Savior would want me to. Jesus Christ is my north star, His life and example provide me with direction.
