Hi I'm Erica

I grew up in Connecticut. I will never say no to dessert. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a bachelor's degree in psychology. I'm a research assistant for a project on rehab programs for troubled youth. I love being active - whether it's doing a workout dvd in my living room, going hiking in the mountains, or taking a walk through my neighborhood. My dad is Jewish and I grew up with Jewish traditions and holidays alongside my Mormon ones. I am married to a husband who I love very much, and have a sweet stepdaughter who brings a lot of light and fun to our home. I'm so grateful for the happiness my family brings me and cannot wait to become a mother and add more members to my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am happiest when I am obeying the commandments of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. When I am living my life in accordance with the law given by my Heavenly Father, I feel happy and full of energy and peace. I love my family and look forward to having a family of my own. The Gospel provides a way for us to be with our families forever and I cannot imagine a heaven without my family there with me.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday and sing in the choir after church. I visit with the women in my congregation, share messages of the Gospel with them, and see if there is anything they need. I participate in lessons and class discussions and share my experience with members in and outside of my faith in an effort to strengthen myself and those around me.

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

The scriptures bring so much peace into my life. As I study them, I can feel the Holy Spirit more in my life. When I have that as a constant companion, there is more peace and harmony in my life. My home is calmer, my relationships are better, I'm more patient, loving, and grateful. The difference I feel when I break out of the habit of reading every day, to when I read on a consistent basis, is very real and strong. I can really see the Lord's hand in my life and see a bigger influence when I am reading the scriptures. Show more Show less
