Hi I'm Trae

I like to play cards, do pottery, and spend time outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've grown up in both southern and northern Utah. I moved after my sophmore year. This was a challenge, but has turned out to be the best thing for me. Art is a new found appreciation. I enjoy skateboarding and swimming, especially learning new dives. Being active in the outdoors or even the indoors is how I would most enjoy spending my time. I have it in my plans to be a doctor. I've always wanted to be one from the time I was young, the specific field has been the only variable. I've been an exchange student to Japan, and love to travel.

Why I am a Mormon

I come from a long line of members of the church, every one of my great grandparents on all sides were members. I have been a member of the Latter Day Saint church my entire life. Although I have understood and been a part of this church for that period of time, I have come to know personally that this is the true church of Christ once again on the earth. My knowledge came to me as I was telling some individual's about the Prophet Joseph Smith. As I was telling his story, the Holy Spirit, brought a great feeling of truth to my soul. From that moment on, I knew that what I had been taught all my life was true, that the church is the church of God, and that I must do my part to share it. No other thing in my life has brought me greater comfort than knowing my true relationship to God, and the blessings that come from that.

How I live my faith

I try really hard to share with others the things I know are true. I can't always be perfect, we all have flaws, but we need to follow the admonition of Christ and strive to be perfect. Our flaws may at times seem to drag us down and weigh heavy on us. Our Father in heaven knows we have these flaws and loves us still the same. Being ready to accecpt whatever the Lord will send our way is the greatest way we can show our faith in Him. If we not only accecpt, but try our hardest to do what is asked, we can find the true happiness that no man can give or take away.

Where did Mormonism and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints begin?

To understand this question we have to understand what is being asked. The name "Mormon," is a nickname. The full title "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints" is the real name. We as a church claim not be a new church, but in fact a very old church that has been restored. The Gospel of Jesus Christ has been around since the days of Adam, the Patriarch or father of our race. It has been revealed and taught throughout the history of our earth. The modern restoration of the church began in Palmyra, New York. The church itself began long ago, in a place called Eden. This final restoration began here, on the American continent. Show more Show less
