Hi I'm Nathan

I'm a doctor. I grew up in Nebraska. I served a two year mission in Hokkaido Japan as a young man and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an anesthesiology resident and I love helping people. I am recently married and when I am not at the hospital I love to spend my time running or spending time with my wife. I have 10 brothers and sisters. I love Nebraska Cornhusker football, running full and half marathons, and skiing and hiking when I'm in the mountains.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know the Book of Mormon is true. The first time I read it was when I was twelve. At that time, I found a quiet place in my home to kneel down and pray about its truthfulness. I knew it was true! When I was 16, while visiting Nauvoo, I visited the location of Joseph Smith's martyrdom. While there, I felt the Holy Ghost testify to me that Joseph Smith was indeed a prophet of God - just as Moses and Abraham were. It was an experience I will never forget and one I frequently ponder on when I think "Why am I a Mormon."

How I live my faith

I attend weekly church services and sing the hymns of the church with all my soul. I serve as a hometeacher in my church. Hometeaching is when a couple of male members of the church visit other families or couples in our local congregation to see how we can help or in any way serve their family. It is something I do monthly and which allows me to serve others on a regular basis.
