Hi I'm Dan

I'm a systems engineer. I love electronics, bowling and tennis. I am a husband, brother, and son. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a nerdy Mormon from the East Coast that loves music, bowling and tennis. I joined the Mormon Church while attending college after investigating many different faiths.

Why I am a Mormon

I used to be a member of a Protestant faith. While in college, I learned about the Mormon church from a friend that I had met in high school. After reading the Book of Mormon and seeing how members of the Church treated each other, I felt that the Church must be true and was baptized. As I continue to attend church and try to follow the example that Christ set, my faith continues to grow. I have a testimony that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of Heavenly Father and the Savior of the world. Joseph Smith was a prophet that translated the Book of Mormon, which is an record of an ancient people on the North American continent and further testifies of Christ.

How I live my faith

I feel that faith goes further than just attending church on Sunday, but is something that one must constantly live. As I go throughout my life, I try to live as if Jesus Christ were standing next to me all the time. When I meet and talk to people, do I treat them in a way that he would be pleased with? In the Mormon faith, we know that there are additional commandments that we have been given, some of which include abstaining from smoking, and drinking alcohol, tea and coffee. I do not find that following these commandments limits me at all but provides me with additional strength to accomplish all of the things I want to do in life.
