Hi I'm Stephanie

I'm a mom and a teacher. I love crafting and being with my family. I'm proud to be a Mormon.

About Me

I'm an East Coast Mormon, born and raised. I went to college and got my degree in Early Childhood Education. I taught first grade for 4 years before becoming a stay-at-home mom! I am the fifth of six kids. I married my best friend from high school and we have a beautiful daughter. I was in color guard (flags and rifle) for seven years. I like shopping, crafting, and relaxing.

Why I am a Mormon

My mother became a Mormon before I was born. When she married my dad, he wasn't a Mormon, but she wanted to raise her children in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I always went to church and learned the gospel of Christ from a young age. When I was 7, my dad was baptized and became a Mormon. Watching him grow in the gospel, as well as watching my mom stay strong when things got rough, helped strengthen my testimony. I love the Church and I feel peace and love from being a member and living by the standards. I know that Christ loves me and that He has a plan for me, which I learn about each week as I go to church, read my scriptures, and pray.

How I live my faith

Each week, I attend church services on Sunday. Yup, all three hours of it! Recently, I worked with and taught the children at church. They are amazing! On Monday nights, our family has family home evening, during which we sing church hymns, read the scriptures, read messages from our church leaders, and pray together. We also play games, bake, and do other fun things. We look forward to family home evening each week. Every day, I take time from my busy schedule to read and study my scriptures alone, as well as with my husband. I also take time at least once a month to visit some other women from church, especially those who can't come to church regularly. I try to live each day as an example of Christ and try to show His love for others through my words and actions.

Can husband and wife be together forever? Do you believe that families will live together in heaven?

Stephanie
When a couple is married in the temple and sealed for time and eternity, they can be together forever. When my husband and I were planning our marriage, we decided to get married in the temple. When people are married in a church or courthouse, they promise to love each other all the time "until death do they part." In the temple, we promise to love each other beyond death. When we keep the commandments and the special promises we make with God, we can be together with our family beyond death. When families are sealed in the temple, they have a special bond that cannot be broken. If a family member dies, they can rest assured that they can be reunited with their family if they are sealed for time and eternity. I am so glad that I have more than this time on earth with my family because I was sealed to them in the temple for eternity. Show more Show less
