Hi I'm Blake

I'm Canadian, I'm a Mormon and I'm not ashamed.

About Me

I grew up in Alberta Canada and I am currently serving a as a missionary in the Utah Salt Lake City South Mission. I have four sisters, three brothers in law and two loving parents back in Cananda. Before "mission life" I had many hobbies from highschool basketball to cliff jumping. In between there you could find me snowboarding, wakeboarding, skateboarding, biking, shooting pool, sky diving, creating pointless movies or sneaking into haunted houses! For now I have setside many of those hobbies (including music) to share the message of "Mormonism" with others and I enjoy it.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are Mormon and thats where I got the title. As I grew up I attended church and their strength was the foundation of my testimony. Of course that couldn't last forever and it didn't. Throughout highschool I faught a battle inside me. What was right? What was wrong? True? and real? I always felt like it was right but after a process of "trial and error" I determined God really does live. He gave us a commandments for a reason, life goes great as you live them. With small changes in my life I was able to put away the "stumbling blocks" and feel a sense of eternal potential as a son of God. If I could wrap it up in one sentence. Becauase of the experiences I've had.

How I live my faith

Right know I study my scriptures daily and pray often. Since I'm serving as an LDS missionary I am able to serve others constantly! I have learned alot and each day my love for God and others grows.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Faith is different from belief. With faith you must act. I found my testimony by testing or experimenting with the faith that I had. This is what I ment by "trial and error" above. Try it out and see if it works. Read the Book of Mormon, pray, attend church, or live a commandment. God keeps his promises and has the power to do so. As a missionary you are able to see many people test their faith and everytime it leads to a deep trust in God! Read Ether 12:6 on page 509 of the Book of Mormon. So simple. "ye recieve no witness until after the trial of your faith." Show more Show less
