Hi I'm Marty

I'm a Mormon. We love life together. I've lived in Washington, Idaho, Missouri, Isreal, Utah and Illinois

About Me

I love adventure, Snow skiing, river rafting, rapelling, mountain biking (down) cross country skiing, Scouting, Camping, snomobiling, backpacking, horse camping, high alpine camping and fishing. I have been in the tax and accounting field for 29 years and love having time in the summer to work hard and live an adventurous life.

Why I am a Mormon

I learned to love the teaching of Christ at an early age. However, my real knowledge about Christ's teaching have come from my own experience. Being able to affect lives and the way I responded to incidents in my life, sometimes turning the other cheek, ( it is not only wise and prudent but creates the best opportunity for developing a personal relationship.) while on the other hand, sometimes clearing the Temple when faced with evil that is affecting my family or our life is the most neccessay. I love that the struggle is truly mine to win. With the help of the Savior, as a true and valued team mate, my life can be pure, and the Lords spirit can help direct me. I have come to know that faith in Christ affects you in the calm of your private room as well as in the midst of lifes battles. At work, skiing a downhill run, hanging from a rope 150' in the air, when things are going good and when things are looking bleak. The "Peace" our Savior promiced is real and affects the way we work out our problems and our dreams. I thank God for His Spirit and guidance. I love the strength of the Savior in the New Testament and his multiple declarations the He is "The Son of God". I know that he was resurrected because the Spirit has born witness to me that He lives. I am grateful for my (our) Savior. Marty

How I live my faith

For many years I have worked with the youth as a Scout leader. Helping them grow with the principles of Scouting that echo the principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Helping individuals learn that doing a good turn meant helping anyone of Gods' children. I also found that the poor and needy, could very easily be the rich and wealthy. They were poor in the understanding of the teaching of Christ or in how to help those less fortunate than themselves. There is a lot more for me to learn through the experience of life. I hope that I can have the white hair earned thru trial successfully passed in my journey back to the presence of God.
