Hi I'm Kiley

I'm a mother. I love math. I play the piano and violin. And, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a math teacher by trade. However, I've retired from the work force so I can teach my own children - two little boys. We don't talk much about geometry and calculus . . . yet. We're still working on counting. But, I know that, as a mother, I can touch my children in a way that no one else can. My life's work is the nurturing of my children. I'm proud to be called a mother.

Why I am a Mormon

Someone once asked me to put aside my testimony and look at the teachings of the Mormons objectively. I replied simply, "I can't." I can't disregard my beliefs. It's the foundation of who I am. Everything I do begins with the peace of knowing that I am a daughter of my Heavenly Father, and that I have the potential to live with Him forever through the sacrifice of my Savior, Jesus Christ and my own efforts.

How I live my faith

I'm lucky to be able to work with some of the children of the church. I learn so much about life by observing their simple innocence and purity. I'm reminded of this scripture, found in the New Testament: "And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, and said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven." - Matthew 18:2-3
