Hi I'm Zack

I'm an engineer, a missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a missionary currently in Oregon. I grew up in New Mexico. I am an avid runner and soccer player. I went to college for Mechanical Engineering for a year before beginning my mission in June of 2009. I want to be a product design engineer for a major firearms company. I'm currently a University of Oregon fan. GO DUCKS! I may be a missionary, but I still like to be a kid sometimes. Chances are if you're looking at this profile, I talked to you on the street! Check out the answers I gave for some of the questions I get asked most often as a missionary.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I love my Jesus. He set up his church in former times, and because the timing was right he did it again. He revealed new scripture that points to Christ, just as all the prophets since the beginning of time have done. I have recieved a witness from the Holy Ghost that it is sound. What other church is attempting to restore the House of Israel? None, to my knowledge. All the ancient prophets prophesied their restoration, and in Christ's church, we're doing it. I belong here.

How I live my faith

I eat up the scriptures! I invite just about everyone I meet to come unto Christ. I'm currently in service as a missionary, teaching others how they may enjoy all the blessings of God.

How is the Book of Mormon different from the Bible? How did Joseph Smith obtain the “golden plates” or Book of Mormon?

To be honest, there isn't much difference at all. The Old Testament is a witness of prophets that Christ will come. The New Testament a witness that he did come and that he redeemed us all. The Book of Mormon is a witness of both of these because it covers a span of history before and after the coming of Christ. All of them show us how to live a Christian life. Joseph received the record through instruction from a messenger of God and then translated it by God's power. Show more Show less

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

We will talk about the Book of Mormon, our faith, and such, but most importantly we will talk about Jesus Christ and how you can develop a better relationship with him. We will be there to answer your questions and to meet your needs. Our purpose is to be at your service. Show more Show less

Are Mormons Christians?

Yes! I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that he was lifted up for my sins. It's only through Him that I can be saved. Show more Show less
