Hi I'm Marilee

I live a happy life because I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a wife of 15 years and the mother of 3 boys (ages 12, 9, 7). I love to cook and bake yummy things! I am always learning new "tricks of the trade". I like to keep a clean and organized house. I enjoy creating scrapbooks and making cards. Once in a while I delve into a crafting project. I like to make people happy because it makes me happy!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a Mormon and I am so grateful! I am the eighth of nine children. I have 6 sisters and 2 brothers. My parents taught me how to be a good person by being good people. I hope to be an example that doing good things equals true happiness!

How I live my faith

Everybody has their own routine...in raising a young family, we do our best to learn from daily scripture reading, hold family prayer each day, spend time together in Monday Family Home Evening, Wednesday night youth activity or Boy Scouts, Sunday Church meetings, and working on spiritual goals through the Duty to God program, Personal Progress Program, and Faith in God program that the LDS Church provides to help us improve our lives. We do our best with these activities in between the daily rigmarole of life. We believe that we are children of a loving Heavenly Father whom we lived with before we were born, and that Jesus Christ is our Savior, the Savior of the world. Having faith in a higher power helps me with the challenges that come into my life. Knowing I can pray to Heavenly Father for strength beyond this world helps me daily. Knowing that I have a Savior and a friend in Jesus Christ comforts me. We know that our families will be together after we die. This helps our family to do our best in showing kindness and love in our home. I help in teaching the 12 to 18 year old girls in church--we are teaching them how to make and accomplish goals, how to plan and prepare for marriage, and how to be successful home makers, loving wives and nurturing mothers. Teaching these principles help me to evaluate my own life and make the improvements I need to have a happy home. Happiness and a positive attitude comes to me naturally (most of the time), and I consider that a huge blessing. I hope to encourage and lift someone upward each day, whether it be those in my home or those I come in contact with at the grocery store or simply a wave hello while driving in the car. I know that the "little things" really do go a long way.
