Hi I'm Sean

I'm from a small town. I'm a music junkie, I love college basketball, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I grew up in a small farming town a couple of hours outside Seattle. Ever since I was a little kid, I have been involved in either sports or some form of music. My Freshman year of high school, due to some injuries, I stopped playing sports and instead focused on music, mainly playing the piano. I love to sing, and I love photography. I went to college for a semester and just finished serving a mission in the Nevada Las Vegas West mission. Life is good!

Why I am a Mormon

Well, I've been a member my whole life. My parents were baptized long before I was around. I guess a more accurate question would be "Why am I still a Mormon?" I took the church and its principles for granted, until about my senior year in high school, when I had the opportunity to watch several of my good friends be baptized. I knew my friends pretty well, and knew what they were like before they decided to become mormon. The change that each of them made in their lives was amazing. Everything about them changed. That was when I knew the mormon faith was the faith for me. If the gospel of Jesus Christ could change them, and my friends could find as much happiness and peace as they did, there was no doubt in my mind that the church must be true, as well as the principles it teaches. That has been reaffirmed to me time and time again as I have asked God and prayed to really, honestly know that what I am doing is right. I have found more peace and love in my life in doing so.

How I live my faith

I do the small things like praying daily, and reading the good word every day. I also try to help out with service opportunities any time I can and give my time and talents to others.

In whom should we have faith?

Sean
I would think that the best person to have faith in would be Jesus Christ himself. Who could honestly be better? He is someone we can trust perfectly, because He is perfect. The best part about it is that if we exercise faith in Jesus Christ, we will come to a greater understanding of exactly who He is and just how much He loves us. I can say that I have personally exercised faith in Jesus Christ, and because of that, I have been changed. I know that Jesus Christ loves us. He knows our names and He knows our faces, even when it doesn't seem that way sometimes. He knows when we are having those inevitable hard times, and He is there for us if we will turn to Him. Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

Sean
Because the clergy in the time of Jesus Christ wasn't paid either.  Show more Show less
