Hi I'm Andre`

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've always been kind of a dreamer. I come up with all of these half-cocked plans, often without thinking too hard about them and how it will turn out. All my friends can attest that when I get a brilliant idea, either it works like a charm, or it totally flops. Either way it's usually a good story. I love music and singing, and I love superheroes. Captain America is my favorite, followed closely by Superman. My family is the greatest. Dates are fun too. Especially when I take my little brothers. I like christian rock, and want to be a journalist.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm Mormon because for some reason, God saw fit to bless me with a wonderful family who are members of the Church, and who raised me knowing the Truth. I've always been an inquisitive person, and wanted to know things, and I've always had a strong sense of right and wrong. My parents, aside from instilling me with strong values, taught me to always find out for myself. I have prayed for years. I know this Church is True, and I know the Book of Mormon is True. I know Joseph Smith was a prophet, and I am grateful for a Heavenly Father who is loving and patient. Probably one of the biggest reasons I am who I am is because I have put God's promises to the test. I realized that He has never given up on me, and I, therefore have no right to give up on Him, myself or others. Everything I have is from Him. Some 2,500 years ago, the prophet Elijah called down fire from heaven in his mission to turn Israel back to the Lord their God, and, for a time, rid Israel of the priests of Baal. He was then forced to flee for his life, and while hiding from the searches of an unjust king in a mountain cave, the Lord instructed him to come out and stand before Him. First the Lord sent a great wind, then an earthquake, then a fire, but to all of these, Elijah did not respond, because the Lord was not in them. After that, came a still small voice, and when Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood before the Lord. I have felt that still small voice, and it has confirmed for me that what I am doing is right. It is the same voice that spoke to the inhabitants of ancient America when the Savior personally appeared to them after His resurrection. I am in the Lord's work and this is His Gospel.

How I live my faith

I love serving people. My favorite, I think is helping others move, the key word being OTHERS. I love trying to get difficult pieces of furniture moved, and figuring things out. I love the feeling that comes from everyone working together in a good cause is amazing. I am currently engaged in the greatest form of service known to man missionary service. I am able right now, for a short time, to devote all of my time and attention to serving the Lord, and I love it. I love seeing people's eyes light up with the Gospel. There is no greater feeling than the Spirit of God, and it can be felt in greatest abundance when bringing our brothers and sisters to the truth.
