Hi I'm Matt

I'm a husband and a father of four. I like to ride motorcycles and spend time with my family. And, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

As a husband and father of four, my life is pretty hectic. My day job as the CEO of an industrial distribution company takes some time also. I love spending time with my family, especially in sports and the outdoors. We enjoy riding motorcycles together and getting away from the chaos of everyday life. Those moments help me keep the proper perspective of what really matters in life.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been in pursuit of the truth in all areas of my life. As a teenager, I wanted to know if there was a God and if so, what he wanted me to do. After consistent study of the bible and prayer, I had a number of experiences that confirmed to me that God lives and that Jesus Christ is His son. Once I knew these truths, I sought more. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true church of God on the earth today. The experiences I have on a daily basis as a member of the church continue to reinforce these experiences from the past and create new ones.

How I live my faith

My assignment in the church is as the Assistant Scoutmaster. While I don't love camping as much as I did as a boy, I enjoy spending time with our youth and discussing their futures with them. In addition to scouting, I attend church weekly with my family and try to live the teachings of Jesus Christ in our home through regular family scripture study and prayer. I believe that emulating the Savior will help me grow closer to Him and to God.
