Hi I'm Jamie
I'm a wife and mother. I'm a foodie who loves to workout. I'm a mormon.
I am married to the love of my life and mother to 4 amazing children who keep me on my toes. I grew up with all sisters so to watch my sons makes me laugh. I love music, and especially love to sing in the car. I grew up on the west(wet) side of Washington and now would never leave the sunny side.I love the great agricultural valley we live in and have a hard time passing up free fruit. When I have a bit of free time I love to read-anything from food and life blogs, children's books, historical fiction and fun novels. Finding a good deal makes me happy. I love to look for the positive in all situations. My love for food and cooking is balanced by my love for being active and exercising. I believe smiles are contagious and should be given freely. As a family we love to play together, bike, hike and camp. I also love the chaos/craziness that comes with being together with extended family.
Why I am a Mormon
I am a Mormon because I know through my own experience that following the teachings of Christ brings peace and happiness to my life. I want to be with my family forever and I know it is through Jesus Christ that this is possible. Living my beliefs gives me perspective to get through the tough times in life, and allows me to see a bigger picture and focus. I want my children to have faith in Jesus Christ and a desire to follow him as well. I know we are put in families to learn and grow and have fun together. I know the most important roles we will ever have and fulfill are those within our families.
How I live my faith
I live my faith by every day trying to teach my children and help them have a firm foundation rooted in Jesus Christ. I love to see the light in their eyes when they see how blessed we are and they understand where those blessings come from. I try to be a good example and lift up those around me. I believe great things start small. I currently am working with the teenage girls in our church. I teach lessons on Sunday and plan weekly activities to help them see their potential and what they can become. I believe challenges in life are opportunities to prove ourselves and draw closer to our Heavenly Father.
