Hi I'm Joe Camacho

I live in Northern California, am a husband, father of threee children, and a duck hunter. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, My name is Joe. I am a husband and father of three children now, the latest being born the day after Christmas 2010. It is great being a father, I love every minute of it. I am a convert to the Church, joined when I was 23 years old going to college studing Agriculture. Of all the things I learned in college, the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ has been the the most important.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon becuase I prayed for myself to know if the message the missionaries shared with me was true. I was going to college at the time I was meeting with the full-time missionaries and as one would expect, while I was atteneding college I was being taught many things that were "true principles." I had only two teachers-the missionaries- ever say that I could find out for myself that the message they taught was true. I took their advice and prayed. Shortly after that first prayer, I was baptised.

How I live my faith

The administration of the Church is done by what is called a lay ministry- meaning the people who work at the church to make all the programs function are voluteers. My first assignemt in the Church was working within the Young Mens program. At a training meeting, I heard my priesthood leader explain that it was his goal to have every worthy male member under 25 serve as a full-time missionary. I realized then that I fell into that category of people. Shortly after that I recieved an invitation to serve as a full-time missionary in Toronto Canada. My mission was great. I learned much, and helped many others find out for themselves the message is true. That is just one example of how I live my faith.
