Hi I'm Ryan

I’m a silly Dad, I’m married to my best friend, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I’ve been married for 13 years and my wife and I have 3 daughters. I work for a global real estate company providing real estate services for corporate clients. My interests include music, baseball, golf, volleyball, and I enjoy speaking Spanish. Most of all I enjoy quality time with my wife and children as well as our extended family that live near us. I love to make them laugh.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a member of the church. As a child, I had a very strong belief in the doctrine of eternal families that the church teaches. There is a song called “Families can be together forever” and when I sang that song as a young boy I felt the Holy Spirit tell me it was true. The witness of that gospel truth was the beginning for my personal conversion. My faith has come a long way since my childhood. Today I have a firm belief and understanding that God is my Heavenly Father. I know He loves me and that His Son Jesus Christ lives and is my Savior. I know that by following Christ’s teachings we can have lasting happiness. I am so grateful for the atonement of Jesus Christ. I know that because of him I can be forgiven. The morning after my wife and I were married in the Seattle LDS Temple, I had a medical emergency. We ended up spending our honey-moon in a local hospital facing some difficult and scary medical issues. What brought me the greatest peace as I thought about a pending needed surgery and the serious risks involved, was the fact that just the day before I knelt in the temple with my sweetheart and we made a covenant with each other and with God that sealed us as husband and wife not only till death do us part, but for all of eternity. My faith and understanding of the eternal family and those sacred covenants of the temple provided the comfort my wife and I needed during several anxious months. Thankfully, my health is good and I’m looking forward to spending many years in this life with my best friend and sweetheart and our children and extended family.

How I live my faith

I find a great amount of joy and satisfaction in serving in the church. I have been able to volunteer my time and talents in a variety of ways. I have found that what brings me the most joy is when I have played some small role in helping others. I have been the giver and the receiver of such service to others. It’s one of the best things about being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I know that quite often God uses us to bless others. I currently serve with the missionaries in the Washington Seattle Mission. It is a great privilege to work with these wonderful missionaries. The best part of this responsibility is when I meet with people who are preparing to be baptized. It is a joy to hear their stories and see how the gospel has already changed their lives in miraculous ways.
