Hi I'm Brandon

I grew up in California. I served a mission in Arizona. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy playing the guitar, creating things with my hands, fixing cars, talking with friends, serving others, studying the scriptures and taking photos of the House of the Lord.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that has a long history of activity in the church. I grew up attending church regularly at first for my parents, to appease them and then later for my friends, to see them. It was not until the summer before my senior year of high school that I knew for myself why I was a Mormon. For the first time in my life I earnestly wanted to know if God lived, if he loved me and if he had restored his church to the earth through Joseph Smith. My question was simple. Is the Book of Mormon true? I did not know why but I new that I needed to find out. For a week I prayed and asked. It wasn't until Saturday morning as I was going about getting ready for the day that I had a powerful feeling overcome me and the clear though come into my mind: The Book of Mormon is true. The feeling and thought that I experienced were not of man. I knew that Heavenly Father answered my prayer and that he had restored his church to the earth through the Prophet Joseph Smith. I knew it without a doubt and that conviction has not left me since. Why I am a Mormon? It's simple: because God lives, He loves us and His son is the head of this church, which bears his name.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying my best to be a disciple of Christ. I look for opportunities to serve those around me. I study the scriptures to learn of my Savior and Redeemer. I commune with my Heavenly Father in sincere prayer on a daily basis. I share my testimony with my friends and family. I share my love with my family. I do my best to do as Christ would do. I work with the leaders of my congregation and assist them with coordinating meetings and planning activities.
