Hi I'm Marty

I grew up on a farm in Washington State. I started a Boy Scout Camp in the mountains of California. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to play basketball and golf. I just started golfing a few years ago, and am slowly getting better. My wife, Linda and I, are officially 'empty nesters'. Our three children are either in college or just graduated. I recently started my own sales consultancy business which is going pretty good, but a bit scary in the current economic climate. I am a big sports fan; San Fransicso Giants (World Champs!), 49ers, and BYU Cougars are on the top of my list.

Why I am a Mormon

My family converted to the Gospel when I was a small boy. I grew up being taught the saving principles of salvation by wonderful teachers and my parents. I have experienced so many uplifting and faith promoting experiences throughout my life that have secured my faith that I know that there is a God, our Heavenly Father, and He love us. I have learned through inspiration from my Heavenly Father that His Son, Jesus Christ came to earth to be our Savior and Redeemer. I know from living experience that I am much happier when I follow the teachings of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith through my actions not just lip service. Right now, I help members of my congregation as their bishop sort of like a pastor. It's a wonderful opportunity for me to admininster spiritual and physical relief. I have been in this position for nearly four years.
