Hi I'm Rachel

I'm a college graduate, a wife, and a stay at home mommy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated from college with a degree in Family Science. I've been able to put it to work in my own home with my two sweet girls! In what spare time I have I love to read, sew, craft, paint, and play the guitar and piano. My husband is Mr. Incredible.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church with wise parents who taught me to be kind to others to follow the example of our Savior. As I've studied and come to understand more of the gospel, I know it is true. I'm still learning, but I can feel the power of the teachings of Jesus Christ. I want to be like Him.

How I live my faith

Right now I serve in a leadership capacity by helping to organize activities for the women in my ward. It's sometimes a challenge to plan activities and carry them out with two small children, but I have been blessed in so many ways! It's helped me to get to know more of my neighbors, and has given me the chance to serve and teach and understand the Lord's way. I believe that my faith is evident in the way I live and the way I treat others. I try to be kind and courteous to everyone I meet, and to be the kind of person God wants me to be. If I am to be like Jesus Christ, I need to learn to see others as He sees them.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Rachel
Grace is a beautiful doctrine which seems to be misunderstood by many. The Book of Mormon explains grace as what saves us "after all we can do." Since we are all sinners, we can never really be "good enough" to come back to God on our own. But we can do something. We can work hard and repent, live the way we should, and after we do all that we can on our own, we must rely on the sacrifice of Jesus Christ to make up the difference. Show more Show less
