Hi I'm Jenn

I work hard as a mother of 5. I have a Bachelor's degree. I'm married for eternity to a wonderful man. I always will be a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up as a Mormon, and I made the choice to stay a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a Mormon in Utah, and I made the choice to stay a Mormon. Growing up where the church has its headquarters made it possible for me to have amazing experiences being in the presence of modern-day prophets and apostles. The feelings I had, and still have, confirm to me that this is the Lord's church, and this is where He wants me to be. I have always felt fully satisfied with my life because I have an understanding of who I am, where I came from, what I am here to do, and what I will experience after this life. My dad passed away recently, at a young age. I was sad about his death, but knowing that I would see him again--that he was simply continuing the process God has given us, made the experience very easy to bear. I had a clear understanding of life, the Atonement and Resurrection of Jesus Christ, and I felt more love from my dad and the Savior than I ever have. Being a member of the church made the pain of his passing understandable. I cannot imagine raising children without the help of the Savior and the gift of the Holy Ghost. It is the most difficult thing I have endeavored to do! However, EVERY time I feel overwhelmed, or have issues or questions about how to deal with my children, I talk to the Lord through prayer and I am amazed at the answers I have received. I have very clear thoughts and ideas of how to help my little ones and what they need. Having the gospel has made all the difference to me as a mother.

How I live my faith

My husband and I live our faith together, and our children happily join in. We have family scripture study and prayer every night. We do our best to have Family Home Evening (where we discuss gospel topics and enjoy time together as a family one night a week), which our boys really enjoy. My husband and I never go to sleep without praying and reading the scriptures ourselves. We spend hours discussing gospel topics, our lives, and how to utilize the gospel to solve ALL of our problems and family issues. I feel the most important way I am serving the church right now is by raising my boys to be good, righteous men. It is a full-time, sometimes very difficult job, but I have a strong testimony of the importance of it. If, when I am old, I can look at my children and see them being productive, faithful, good men, blessing the lives of everyone around them, I will consider my life to be a success...and then I will most definitely experience the joy that comes from multiplying and replenishing the earth. I have served in many ways in the church. Among my favorite things about the church is the organization for women. We take time visiting other women in their homes, and through this I have had opportunities to love and serve in ways much like Jesus did. It is a blessing to share my testimony to other women, to pray for them, and to be an answer to their prayers.
