Hi I'm Mark

I grew up a little in Idaho, continued with life in Connecticut, building towards being a writer and I am a Mormon.

About Me

Currently I am working full time and taking classes part time. Ultimately I am building towards a career in writing novels and short stories.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that were active Latter-day Saints and I grew up in that environment, both within the family as well as the community that was mostly LDS (Idaho). Then when I was 12, my father received a job on the east coast of the US and half of the family went east. I then continued to grow up in an environment where Mormons were a minority (Connecticut). As I grew, I developed my testimony in God, in Jesus Christ and other teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. When I was younger I may not have grasped as well those teachings in a full understanding, but as I grow I learn more and more about the gospel and how vital it is in my life. I had the great opportunity of serving a mission in the Baltic States in Northern Europe that helped me to further understand the messages that God sends as well as in strengthening the testimony of the principles that I have learned. And with what I have come to know has helped me to strive to be a better me.

How I live my faith

Within the church branch that I go to I help out in a presidency with three others to assist in leading the men's group there. As well as assisting in other ways to help the branch with needs that arise. I also have the opportunity to go to a nearby LDS temple to help in the work there. It is great to be able to spend time there helping others, as well as myself, in building their spiritual strength and relationship with God.
