Hi I'm Sherry

I'm a homeschooling mom of four children living in North Carolina. I love to read, knit, sew and travel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a homeschool mom of four children. I love being a mom and have enjoyed watching my children grow up. I love homeschooling and the wonderful blessing of integrating the gospel of Jesus Christ into everything we do. I love working and serving with my husband and children. I also love knitting, sewing, quilting, swimming, reading and traveling. I am a college graduate and worked in the retail industry for a couple of years before beginning my family. I have lived in Switzerland and have traveled throughout Europe. I love seeing the rich history and beauty of both Europe and America. I have traveled to 44 of the 50 states and am never disappointed with the beauty and richness of this beautiful land. I have been a member of the church for 40 years and feel so blessed by it. I love reading the scriptures and attending church and feel strengthened through the trials of life as I turn to my Heavenly Father in prayer.

Why I am a Mormon

I love my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and I love His gospel. I love His example of service and love to all mankind. I love the restored truths found in the gospel. I love the values found in the church. I also love the opportunities for service and learning. I love that my family can be together for eternity.

How I live my faith

I think one of the most important teachings of Jesus Christ has to do with the way we treat others. I am amazed that He always had time to stop and take care of a single individual whether it was a child with a disease or a woman with an issue of blood. I have tried to follow His example and bless the lives of our Heavenly Father's children everyday. There is such a good feeling as we serve others and feel their difficulties eased even in some small way by the service we render. I love to read the scriptures and always find them calming and reassuring. I also love the great blessing of prayer. As we walk the path of mortality it is such a blessing to be able to kneel and speak to our Father in Heaven. He is waiting to bless and guide us on our way and all we have to do is ask. I know that our prayers are heard and that He desires to bless each of us. I also love attending church meetings and feel edified each Sunday as I listen to the talks and lessons. I have loved opportunities to teach both adults and children.
