Hi I'm Sarah

I'm a daughter, wife, and mother. I'm a singer, a reader, a cook, and a photographer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a full-time mom. I have the greatest husband and the cutest little girls who I hope will grow up to be good, kind, strong women. I have a degree in music and I still love to sing. I have a small family portrait photography business. I also keep busy with hobbies like reading, sewing, painting, cooking, biking, jogging, and gardening. I have a list of goals I want to achieve before I turn 30, including write a novel, try 30 different brands of frozen custard, read the Book of Mormon in Spanish, and unload my dishwasher in less than 3 minutes.

Why I am a Mormon

As a child, I was a Mormon because my parents were. But, they always encouraged me to ask questions and to seek answers from Heavenly Father. I was always a "why" person- I need to know why I'm doing everything before I do it. There are lots of "why" questions that I asked my parents as a kid that I now understand are rather difficult to answer. But, they had answers- answers that they had learned as members of the Church of Jesus Christ. On top of that, when I prayed to Heavenly Father to know whether their answers were correct, I felt in my heart that it was the truth.

How I live my faith

The best way I can live my faith is try to be Christlike. Of course, that is a lot easier said than done! I try to be kind and friendly to the people around me and to serve them. I try to be kind to and teach my children. I read the scriptures often and I try to live with faith and hope in my heart. I also serve a lot within my church. I meet with the 8-11 year old girls twice a month, where we learn life skills and have faith-promoting, character-building activities.
