Hi I'm Vonae

I am a math teacher. I am a mom. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have 3 beautiful boys who we were blessed to adopt. I love them, and their birth mothers! I know how lucky I am to have built my family this way. Couldn't be better! I teach math - sometimes as a tutor, sometimes as a school teacher, sometimes as a Mom, sometimes as a friend and neighbor. And I love to cook, read, play the piano, watch Broadway musicals, and play in the mud with my kids. Life is good.

Why I am a Mormon

Why I was baptized as a Mormon: When I was young I decided I needed to know for myself if this church was true. So before school one day I knelt by the side of my bed and asked God if it was. I was filled with a strong, undeniable witness that it is true, strong enough to bring tears to my eyes. I know that feeling was not from me, it was from God and I cannot deny it. Why I am still a Mormon: Christ has blessed my life in countless ways. One of the ways is with the Book of Mormon. It was the only source of comfort for my when my Mom passed away when I was 11. Reading it brings me daily peace. My soul resonates with the truths in it. I have received several answers to my prayers from the Book of Mormon. Just try it. Try it daily for 2 weeks and you'll know why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I teach Sunday School - right now the New Testament to 16-18 year olds and LOVE it. I love teaching of Christ. I love the opportunity to testify of His divine mission as our Savior and to hear their testimonies of Him. I try to live in such a way that He can guide and direct me to do His will. My life always works out better when I do. I try to read either the Book of Mormon or the Bible every day and pray to know what God would teach me that day. I try to serve others.
