Hi I'm Joy

I am a wife and mother. I am a good friend and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am crazy about being organized. I love having things right where they belong. I love that everything has a place and I like having everything in it's place. Having three kids and a busy husband tends to throw my idea of organization out the window. I have always wanted to be a wife and mother and enjoy my "job" every day. I love quick cuddle from my little boy. I love hearing "mom, I'm home!" from my two oldest everyday after school. I love reading a good book with my kids at night. I love watching my kids dance to music. I love spending time with my husband. I love cheering my kids on in what ever sport they are currently in. I love the satisfaction I get when we all spend a good day playing together. So even though all these things that I love cause my organized world to be a little messy I am grateful for every single thing.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I can go back seven generations to the first member of my family to be called a mormon this is not why I chose to be a mormon. I choose to be a mormon because the comfort the gospel of Jesus Christ brings to my life. . I am comforted to know that I have a Father in Heaven that loves me although I do make mistakes. I am comforted to know that we do have a prophet here on earth to teach us the way to return to our Father in Heaven. I know that when I read The Book of Mormon I am reading words chosen by our Heavenly Father to teach us the way we should live. I know that my Savior Jesus Christ died that I might repent when I do make a mistake. All this mean so much to me. I often think where I would be without my faith. I do know I would feel so lost. I am grateful everyday that I have the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life. It continues to bring me so much happiness.

How I live my faith

Living my faith isn't always easy. During the week is hardest. I find that when I visit other women in my church and share my faith with them I feel much closer to my Savior. On have been asked to teach the women in my congregation. I love sharing my testimony with them and hearing their testimonies of the Savior. I find that I learn so much from them. I learn so much from being a friend. I have a friend who has lived away from me for a number of years but every time we talk I gain so much strength from our talks about what we believe in. I love that we can talk about our families and our church service together. I feel so blessed to have such good friends.
