Hi I'm Austin Gorge

I am a missionary for the church.

About Me

I am currently on a mission for the church in Argentina and have been here for over a year now. It is great to share experiences with people who I have never met before about Jesus Chirst and His atonement.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon is something held very special to my heart. I never truly thought about why was I a Mormon until I grew older. I am a Mormon because it brings the most joy and happiness to my life. I remember an experience of sitting in chruch and I was so overwhelmed with joy that I started to cry. The feeling I felt that day is indescribable. The Holy Ghost guides me through the troubles of today. I also have a loving family who is a support beam for me. No matter how hard the day is I can turn to the Lord and he will help me through any troubled times. I stand as a witness for him and will be an immovable force from evil. For as long as I live, I will preach his gospel and stand as an example for the world to see. I will never deny these things for as long as I live.

How I live my faith

Everyday I live with choices that unfold before me and some are hard decisions. Some of these decisions come from the power of prayer and others right on the spot. At times they are the right decisions and other times wrong, in which I have to embrace the consequences from those actions. Mistakes are part of human nature. Not everything is going to go the right way. I know as long as I try to make the right choices, the Lord will help me overcome my pit falls through his Atonement. The branch that I currently attend has service projects that I participate in. Some include cleaning up wreckage from Hurricane Irene and helping others move places of residences. Service is a selfless act that bring joy and satisfaction to my soul. I attend church every Sunday and take part of the blessings which are waiting for me.
