Hi I'm Carlton

I'm a student, athlete, husband, classical music lover, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, I'm all about the outdoors. If it involves running, biking, hiking, or any kind of sport, I'm in. If I can do it with my wife that is even better. Last June we ran the Utah Valley Marathon two weeks before we got married. This March we are running our second marathon together, the Washington D.C. Marathon. When I am not running or biking, I am in school. I am in my second semester of dental school. Living away from family and in a big city is a change of life. Instead of mountains and lakes I experience the subway and skyscrapers. My favorite new big city activity is to go to the orchestra.

Why I am a Mormon

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints means everything to me. Almost every good thing in my life has come as a result of my membership in His church. I feel happiness as I learn about God and His commandments.

How I live my faith

My wife and I are tutoring coordinators in our area. We help kids that want to improve in school and achieve their academic goals. We also co-teach a Sunday school class in church. It is great to have two responsibilities with my wife and to fulfill them together, we know it helps strengthen our relationship.

Who was Joseph Smith?

Carlton
He was a boy called to be a prophet of God. Just as God called prophets like Moses and Noah in the Old Testament, Joseph Smith was called to be a prophet. Show more Show less

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

Carlton
The church has brought me so much happiness. As with all good things in life, I want to share them with others. The church grows because members around the world see how it has helped their life and know that it will help their friends lives as well. Show more Show less
