Hi I'm Stacey.

I'm a novice mother, wanna be cook, lover of music, believer of fairy tales, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I are still trying to "learn the ropes" on being a parent to a beautiful baby girl. Being a parent is one of the hardest and most rewarding things I have ever done. I graduated with a degree in music and love to teach music to kids. Cooking is a favorite of mine but I still have a lot to learn. I believe that anything is possible when you trust in the Lord!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I can't live without Christ's influence in my life. I can't tell you how much peace, comfort, and joy I have experienced in my life because of the gospel. I feel so blessed to have the knowledge that Christ suffered for my sins so that I could repent and feel clean and return to my Heavenly Father. Knowing that Heavenly Father loves me enough to send prophets in my day to give me counsel and guidance really means a lot to me. One of my favorite truths that I have discovered from the gospel is that families can be together forever. My sweet husband and I aren't just married "until death do we part" but we are bound together for eternity with our sweet baby girl. I love this truth! The gospel brings so many blessings to my life and I wish I could just shout to the whole world that they can have this peace and joy if they come unto Christ.

How I live my faith

I am so lucky to work with the young children in my ward! I get to teach little 3 year-old kids where they came from and that everything we have came from God. These sweet children soak up every word I say and they are so teachable. They truly are pure and eager to learn. I also have the opportunity to visit two sisters in my ward to see if there is anything I can do for them and also to share a "pick me up" message with them. These visits are so needed and appreciated from both ends. I feel enriched every time I go visit these sweet sisters. I love learning from them.

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

Jesus Christ is our Savior. Because He suffered in the Garden of Gethsemane, I can repent of my mistakes and feel clean. The heavy, dark feelings of sin can be completely washed away so that you don't have to feel them anymore. My burdens can be lifted by Christ. All of my fears, trials, and hard times are understood by Jesus Christ. He knows exactly how I feel and He is always there to comfort me. When I think no one else understands what I'm going through, I remember that He knows exactly how I feel. Jesus Christ is our brother. He is our constant and committed friend. He is the one that takes away our sorrows, sins, and fears. He loves us and will never leave us alone. Show more Show less
