Hi I'm Cassidie

I was born and raised in Georgia. I am a wife and mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am so grateful for the opportunity that I have to be a stay at home mom at this point in my life. Before I had my daughter I was a music educator. I taught elementary music and middle school orchestra. I've had challenges in my life but I know that Heavenly Father has been there for me.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up with the gospel and with wonderful parents and church leaders that have taught me to do what is right. I think that some people look at the church and the rules and standards that we have and think that it is strange. I loved having those rules and standards. I loved that all through my schooling I was known for my standards. I was different. The teachings of the church made sense to me. I could see that the standards were there for a reason and that they lead to happiness. I came to a knowledge of the Book of Mormon by reading and studying it myself. I never had a miraculous moment that told me the church was true, but I did have many small moments- moments of the Spirit whispering to me that what I was learning was true. I still have those moments every time I go to church, pray, or read the scriptures. I don't claim to know everything there is to know about the gospel and I know that I am far from perfect. This life is a journey and I am going to keep trying to put forth the effort to nourish and strengthen my testimony. I know that one day I will have the opportunity to stand before the Savior and I hope that I will be able to tell Him that I did my best.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying my best to take care of my family and teach my daughter what is right. I also try to give service to others. Being a member of the church has given me so many opportunities to serve. I currently serve as a visiting teaching coordinator. Visiting teaching is an inspired program that gives the women of the church an opportunity to regularly visit with, serve, and teach other women in the church. This program allows all of the women in the church to be looked after and blessed. I love being a visiting teacher because I have had the opportunity to gain new friendships, serve, and learn from women that I might not have gotten to know otherwise.
