Hi I'm Brogan.

I'm a handy man, student, husband, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born on a farm in Idaho but thankfully my father moved our family to Utah in pursuit of his career. I grew up in happy valley, never leaving the US until the age of 19 when I was called to serve a mission in Mozambique, Africa. My mission was the highlight of my life until I met the girl of my dreams soon after returning home. We were recently sealed in the Salt Lake Utah temple, and are enjoying being newlyweds. I just finished the Utah Fire and Rescue Academy and am preparing to start the paramedic program. In my free time I like to play basketball, ski, mountain bike, and watch "Man vs Wild".

Why I am a Mormon

I used to ask myself if I was just a Mormon because I was born in Utah and everybody around me including my family was Mormon. Was I brainwashed to be a Mormon and were all of these people around me trying to drag me down into some false belief? I was a teenager when I started having these thoughts and that is when I new I had to know for myself whether all of these things I had been taught were really true. I decided to sincerely read the "Book of Mormon" and as I did so I could feel a special spirit that I never felt while reading other books. Towards the end of the book a prophet named Moroni challenged me (all readers) to pray and ask God if the things I had read were true. I decided I would pray and as I did so I could feel that same spirit I felt while I was reading, only this time it was a much stronger feeling (very calming and warming). From that day forth I new I wasn't just a Mormon because everyone around me was. I was a Mormon because I new the "Book of Mormon" and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints were true.

How I live my faith

I do my best to follow Christs example. Since Christ isn't physically here, I follow him by studying his life and the words of the prophets in the scriptures (The Bible & The Book of Mormon). I attend church each week, where I also teach a lesson once a month about different gospel principles. I strive to be a good neighbor and friend to all around me.
