Hi I'm Amy

I live in Southern Utah. I am a graphic designer, wife and mother of 3 children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the third child of four children. I've lived most of my life in Utah. I went to college at BYU and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Design. After college I got married and we now have three children. I love spending time with them, watching them play sports or dance and doing anything that is creative. I enjoy camping, boating and going to Disneyland : )

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints are true. I know this because I have studied the Book of Mormon and then prayed to know for myself that the things I read were true. I had a warm, happy feeling inside and I knew it was right. As I have tried to follow the teachings and become more like Jesus Christ, it has become easier to overcome the challenges in my life. The gospel teaches me to be a well-rounded person. It helps me understand where I came from, my purpose in this life and where I will go after I die. It is comforting to have the answers to these important questions.

How I live my faith

I love the women of the church. I am currently the Relief Society President in our ward. It is wonderful to serve women ages 18 to 100. We draw on each others experience to help each other work through the trials of life. We support each other by visiting each other every month in our individual homes. We do this to strengthen every sister in our ward and offer assistance if they need help or service. It is a blessing to feel like we have other women to help us when we pass through challenges. I volunteer a lot of time in our community. I recently designed The St. George Children's Museum in St. George, Utah. I donated over half of my time to the building/designing of this wonderful project! It is a non-profit museum that any child or school can come to for free. I did this because I believe God wants us to share our talents in our communities to bless the lives of others. There have been over 100,000 visitors to the museum - that is a lot of happy children- who have been able to learn and grow because of the talents of many generous individuals. It was great to get to work with some individuals of other faiths to create this community project. In the past I have enjoyed serving the youth in the church ~ especially the Young Women. I was able to help plan fun activities that created a positive and uplifting environment for the youth in our area. They are activities that encourage good values and positive life decisions. Some of my favorite activities have been a Youth Spectacular where I directed 1,000 youth in a production that included acting, singing, and dancing. It was so wonderful to see so many youth with a common goal achieve something that was difficult but very rewarding. All of these activities were spiritually strengthening, uplifting and a ton of fun! It is experiences like these and attending church on Sunday that inspire me and draw me closer to Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ.
