Hi I'm Wayne Richardson

I'm an Engineer, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am the father of five wonderful children, and currently have five grandchildren. I enjoy sports such as watching football and playing racquetball. I enjoy gardening and growing things, and have recently taken up the hobby of beekeeping. I am a computer engineer, and like designing and building electronic things, and then writing software that makes the designs work. I have recently passed my Amateur radio license (KJ4YNY) and will be getting on the air soon.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love the simple truths of the gospel. I was born into the church, but at the age of 10 started to search for the answers because of the loss of my father. I needed to know for sure where we came from, where my father went, if I would ever see him again, and if so, how I could be with him and my other family members again. This lead to discovering the wonderful truths of the gospel. I was lucky in that I was already a member of the church that had these answers. All I had to do was to study the scriptures, and when I thought that I had the answer, kneel down and ask our Heavenly Father if the things I had been studying were true. This has been a solid foundation for the rest of my life, and one that I use as an anchor. This is why I am a Mormon

How I live my faith

I am an engineer by profession, and love to learn about sciences and how the world is built. I find that by studying about the world and its physical laws, that there is a greater power that created it. By learning this, I know that there is a supreme being governing this world. The creation and the laws that this world follows did not happen by chance. I live my faith by the way I live my life. I am currently serving as the stake president which entails working with, and training the various leaders of wards and branches. It is a time demanding, but extremely rewarding calling, which I love.
