Hi I'm Jason

I am a husband, a father of five, a marketing brand manager . . . and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live in Wisconsin and love to hunt, fish, camp, and play. Our kids keep us busy between Boy Scouts, dance classes, piano lessons, sports, and play practices - but somehow we find time to make it all work - mostly because I have such an amazing wife who keeps our household running so smoothly. We love to meet new people and explore new places - fortunately with my job, we get the opportunity to move around a lot. We always look at each move as a new adventure to see new sights and learn new cultures (like living with all of these Wisconsin Packer fans :) .) I love serving in our church where I get to work with the missionaries and teach a sunday school class. My favorite weekly activity . . . is probably Friday night date night with my wife. The kids kick us out of the house and have "kids night" and we get a chance to go shopping or catch dinner and a movie.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the gospel of Jesus Christ provides a clear direction in my life. The Lord has provided us with His great master plan - a plan of happiness that allows each of us the opportunity to learn and progress here in life, and eventually, return to live with Him and our Heavenly Father. He has prepared a way for us so we can live together forever as Families. I love my family so much! And knowing that through Christ's attonement I can have the opportunity to live with them eternally is the greatest thing anyone could ever offer me. The best thing is . . . he has offered this gift to everyone. All we have to do is believe in Him, follow His plan, and be humble enough to ask His father for forgiveness when we do make mistakes. Why am I am Mormon? Because it makes me happy in this life and shows me the way that I can experience eternal happiness.

How I live my faith

Being a Mormon is more than just going to church on Sunday. Sure, I go to church with my family each Sunday morning. I get to teach a Sunday School class and usually learn more when I prepare the lessons than anyone ever learns from my teaching, but I love it. But being a Mormon goes beyond that. I believe that being a Mormon means living the way that Christ would want us to live. He lived his life in service to others - and I think that is what he wants from us. I love to volunteer. I think I learned it from my father. He was always the first one to volunteer his service and the service of his boys for whatever project needed to be done - helping people move, cutting down trees, cleaning up widow's yards, etc. If there was service to be done, he taught us that we should be there. Now that I am "grown up" I like working with the Boy Scouts, volunteering for occasional projects with Habitat for Humanity, helping to organize food drives, and yes . . . even helping to cut down trees for friends and neighboors (that one would make my dad proud.) More than anything, living my faith means loving and serving others. I am a freind to others and am always willing to help when the opportunities exist. My favorite acts of service . . . keeping a tow strap handy in the winter to pull people back up on the road when things get slick.
