Hi I'm Rebecca Roberts

I am a mother to six and own a landscape company. I sing, play tennis and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My favorite job in the world is being a homemaker and mother to my children. I also have the privilege of being a stepmom to two really great kids and wife to a wonderful, hard-working, big-hearted man. Singing, playing the piano, scrap-booking, playing tennis are all some of my favorite activities. I am a published recording artist, teach voice, direct choirs and have had many opportunities to share my testimony through my music. I love working with the youth of our church and value the many years that I worked with them. I have ADDdddddd and accomplish my many tasks during the day in a random fashion to the chagrin of my linear-thinking husband, but sure have fun while doing so. :-) I love people and believe there is something of worth and beautiful about each one.

Why I am a Mormon

It is easy to be a Mormon for me. It just makes sense; however, rather than list physical evidence I would focus on the spiritual evidence. In the New Testament Paul teaches that when we are taught through the spirit this makes a deeper and lasting imprint on our minds and heart than anything learned through our five senses. My choice to be a Mormon is because in my own private moments of study and prayer my Savior, ever aware of His daughter's needs and desires has given me my own private witness through the Holy Ghost. I am left with an indelible and irremovable imprint on my heart, mind, even my whole being. This spiritual evidence or knowledge propels me to live a life of service and sacrifice through God's restored church and I am ever aware of the responsibility I have to share what I know. Where much is given much is expected. I have been given the most precious gift one could ever have and that is the gift of testimony of my Savior. He lives! He loves ALL of His children and desires for each of us to be with Him again someday. His church is on the earth again today patterned after the primitive church with apostles and prophets who act with authority holding the Priesthood sanctioned and governed by Him. I am so grateful to know my Savior. I love Him and choose to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because it belongs to Him. The Book of Mormon is another witness of Him. Joseph Smith is the prophet of this dispensation chosen by Him to restore His church as done in other dispensations through time. This is my testimony. It's simple. It's humble not earth shattering and learned quietly yet powerfully through the Holy Spirit. All of His children will be given the opportunity to "know" and all of His children can know through study, prayer and action I so testify in the name of His holy name, Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

I like to use some of the little gifts I have been given to live my faith. I teach my faith and love of my Savior through music. Every Sunday I have the privilege of conducting singing time with the most precious people in our church--the children. They learn about prophets, Jesus and His teachings through our inspiring music. Through the years I have served our youth by teaching their early morning seminary classes. These kids come to seminary class before school to learn about the scriptures and how to apply God's principles to their daily lives. What a privilege for me to work with these incredible kids. My music and singing is another way I live my Faith. I have the privilege of soloing for many sacred occasions where I have the honor of sharing my witness through my singing. Time and time again I have felt the confirmation of my Savior's love as I sing in praise of Him.
