Hi I'm Brittni

I grew up in Mississippi. I'm a nurse. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hey! I'm Brittni! I'm 20 years. I'm a Registered nurse, but I'm also a college student working towards another degree. I'm the oldest of 4 children. I have a brother and 2 sisters. I love to play the piano and listening to music! In fact, I tend to relate anything going on in my life to a song. I love taking pictures and one day, i'd like to take up photography. I enjoy scrapbooking in my spare time. I like playing sports, reading a good book, and spending time with my friends and family! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, anything related to Disney. I also collect quotes (from famous authors and my friends). Quotes are kind of like journal keeping to me. Well, I think that pretty much covers the basics about me! :)

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Growing up, my parents taught me the standards and of the gospel and when I was eight years old, I was baptized. As I got older, I decided that I couldn't lean on my parents testimonies any more. I had to know for myself whether or not the church was true. I believed that it was, but that wasn't enough, I wanted to know. After reading the Book of Mormon, I prayed to know if the church was true. Unlike a lot of people who describe their answer as a strong, burning feeling-mine was alot more subtle. I recieved my answer through situations and experiences. Each experience added to my testimony that the church was indeed, the true gospel on the earth today. I'm so grateful that I recieved an answer and that I can say that I not only believe, but that I have a testimony that the church is true. I can't imagine my life without the gospel. I know that Jesus Christ gave his life for all of us and took upon him our sins. I know that through him, we can be saved if we repent and follow his commandments. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet and that he restored the church to the earth in these latter days. I'm so grateful for the prophet that we have today. I love this gospel with all of my heart.

How I live my faith

Mosiah 2:17: " And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God." I try to live my faith through service. The past few years, i've had the oppurtinity to serve in various callings, or positions in our local branch. I have served as a Young Womens leader where I taught the girls in our youth program. I have also served as a singles adult representive. Not only have I had the opprutunity to serve in the church, I get to serve my community through my job as well. As a nurse, I am able to serve people during their times of need. Even if i've had a hard day at work, knowing that I might have made a difference in someone's life makes it all worth it! Service has given me the oppurtunity to grow. I love to serve others and am grateful for all of the opportunities that I have been blessed with to do so.
