Hi I'm Whitney

I'm unique a bit quirky and I believe the greatest happiness in life is found in making others happy and I'm Mormon.

About Me

I am a 21 year old college student. I enjoy spending most of my time with my closest, childhood friends, who attend the same college. We spend the evenings cooking healthy delicious meals. I love learning and I love growing. I love helping others and I actively take part in many activities with many different people. I love being healthy and I often go running. I love it even though I'm not good at it I still enjoy it very much. I also have a passion for drawing, sculpting, painting and anything creative. I love finding beauty in things that are not normally seen as beautiful. I hope to write children books one day. Most of all I love laughing and I believe that life is to be enjoyed. I never want to miss an opportunity to smile or make another person happy.

Why I am a Mormon

There is a great comfort in living this gospel. There is a peace I have not found anywhere else. I have a purpose. There is meaning in my life and I know what direction I want to be going. I know that all the hurt and pain I have felt in my life will not not last forever. My broken heart and spirit can be healed with the help of my Savior. I am so grateful for everything I have in my life. I know that, in life, as bad as things may get that is how good they can become. He will never leave us. Christ is always present in our lives especially during the hard times and all the heartache we face is worth it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by continually striving to always do better. I follow Christ's example of love. I strive to live my life the way that Christ lived his. To have the same compassion and kindness he showed to every person. I have a testimony that God loves his children and that Christ atoned for the sins of the world. He did it because he loves us. He loves us individually and he knows us by name. I have served as a Gospel Doctrine Sunday School teacher. I enjoyed that so very much. I think I learned more by teaching than I did by being a student! I am currently serving as an Institute Representative for my ward. Our goal is to support our bishop and bring others to Christ. We plan many events sometimes for over 1,000 people because I live in a college town with many young single adults. We strive to make them ridiculously fun and provide a safe and happy environment.
