Hi I'm Becky

I'm a Mormon. Iam a mother of 5. I have 3 boys who are all Eagle scouts. I love camping in the mountains.

About Me

I have always wanted to be a mother. I have 5 children and they are the joy of my life. Each is a best friend to me. We enjoy camping together and spending that quiet time to talk and reflect. We enjoy canning jams, friuts, salsa and meats. A garden has also been a family affair and has been very rewarding. It's always a family affair. One our favorite things to do over the holidays is to play board games and put puzzles together. Family times has always been important to us. We also have game night at our house were we invite teenagers to our home to have good clean fun. They play games and have lots of snack food. Memebers of our faith and young people not of our faith are invited. This has been very rewarding. I have been a big supporter of scouting and I took my girls along every where I went. The skills and values have made well balanced young men out of my boys and well prepared young ladies out of my girls.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a memeber of this church, but that does not mean I have always known it is true. At some point I become a "believer". Just as with any Christian it is a conversion process. I prayed, I studied and most important I lived what I felt was right. As I lived it i gained the testemony. Just as the Bible says "Faith with out works is dead". I put the Lord to the test and as I lived a principle of the gospel I gained a witness it was true. Line upon line I gained a powerful witness. Now my life is full of joy and peace. Yes, the world is full fo chaos and commotion. But inside, inside my heart peace and assurance in my Savoir abides. I can live through the worldly chaos because I have the inner peace. Sharing this with my children and they gaining their own witness has brought them the same peace. This is the most valuable gift I could give them. This will get them through anything that the world can dish out. They will be anchored and firm because of their witness of Christ and they will feel the peace inside. This I bear witness of.

How I live my faith

I have been involved in scouting for over 10 years. From cub scouts to eagle scouts. I teach the 7-8 year olds in Primary or "sunday school". I am part of a group who practices Hula every Thursday learning various dances to perform to the public and our congregation once a year. It has been a great success and I wonderful opportunity to learn a different culture. I spend a lot of time with the youth. Helping others who teach them. I love going on their outings. I love having them over to my home. I play the organ for our ward or congrgation. I am self taught which means others are patient with my mistakes. I also lead the choir. With much coaching form those who know music better then me, we have a great choir. We work together. I, like many others take my turn cleaning the church house. This too is very rewarding. I chance to give back.
