Hi I'm Kristin

I'm a vegan food blogger, I love to sew, I'm a wife and mother, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My family and I have been vegan, or plant-based for a year and a half. I recently started a blog with my mother to share the things we have learned about this food and lifestyle change and to share some of our favorite recipes with others. I am the mother to one beautiful daughter right now and we have one on the way. I studied clothing construction in college and I really enjoy doing anything creative. sewing, crafting, interior design, creating new recipes, and tennis are just a few of my hobbies.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of this gospel since I was born, but I too have my own conversion story. When I was 18 my little brother and sister were killed in a car accident. When this happened, I naturally began to wonder if what I believed was really true. I never stopped attending church or going to my various activities in the church, but instead decided that to find my answers I needed to turn to the source of this gospel, the word of God. I searched the scriptures and through much prayer, I came to the realization that this gospel is in fact, the true gospel on this earth. I am grateful for the knowledge it brings me that even though I can not be with my 2 younger siblings at this time, in just a short while I can return to live with them again after this life. Because I want to be with them after this life, it has been a driving force for me to be a better person and to live the things that I believe.

How I live my faith

I attend church once a week I pay a full tithe every month I read my scriptures and pray daily I enjoy visiting women of my congregation monthly and getting to know them better. I strive to be better daily and to be more like my Savior by being more aware of others around me and of their needs.

Are Mormons Christians?

Kristin
This would depend on one's definition of a Christian. If your definition is that we believe in Christ, then yes, we are most definitely Christians. However, we believe that God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost are all separate beings. Just as most faiths believe, we believe that Christ came to this earth, at the will of our Father, and died for our sins so that we can repent. If we repent, and live the gospel of Jesus Christ, then we can return to live with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
