Hi I'm Jo Ann

I grew up in North Louisiana, the third of four children. My parents nor siblings are members, but I am a Mormon and love it.

About Me

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints since May 1975. It was absolutely the best decision I have ever made. Being born in the South and raised a Baptist was a great foundation for what I am today. I love my Savior, my family, my friends, my life and all that I do. I work part time at a fabric store to support my quilting habit. I have many friends in and out of the church. I love being around people and also, being alone; both give me time for what is important in life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know this is the true church. I know that from living the principles that have been taught. This knowledge comes line by line, principle by principle, one step at a time. To live something is to find out it"s truth.

How I live my faith

To live the principles of the scriptures is living my faith. To live as my Mother taught me is to live my faith. To be good, honest and true is to live my faith. To treat others as I want to be treated is living my faith. I live by the Ten Commandments, knowing that is a really good place to start. I know that as long as I do my part, Heavenly Father will take care of me. He has done that in the past and he will not change. Any changes that are made are on my part, not His. He will send me trails to test me and prove me. I accept those challenges because it will prepare me to be with Him again some day. He teaches that all He has will be mine, if I am worthey. If I listen to the still small voice of the Holy Spirit and the Holy Ghost, I can not fail.
