Hi I'm Jamie

I am a wife and mother of 2. I am a gymnastics coach. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I live in a a suburb of Tulsa, Oklahoma. I was raised here and met my husband here. We've been married for almost 4 years and recently had our second child. My husband is a chemist and I work part time as a gymnastics coach for a competitive team. I enjoy staying home during the day with our little ones and working in the late afternoon. It works very well for our family.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in 1999 when I was 18. In high school, I had so many questions that I could never seem to find answers to. I took several religion classes and attended several churches but only felt confused and angry. I never felt like any one church or religion was able to satisfy ALL of my questions. The LDS church helps me understand God's plan. All the pieces come together in the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. While they didn't all come immediately, I have answers to all of my questions about God, the Bible, Salvation and who Jesus Christ really is. I am Mormon because I know that Heavenly Father wants us to know and udnerstand His plan for us. I know that is why He established a church that holds the completness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that when we live our lives by God's standards that we will be happier.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be humble and follow the will of the Lord. I go to church every Sunday in our local ward (congregation). My husband, children and I have family scripture study and prayer every night. We also pray together as a couple and individually. We serve in our church when asked with the youth, in teaching classes and directing other programs. I do my best to teach my young children about the Savior so they will begin to develop a personal relationship with him.

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon was written by a series of prophets who live on the American Continent. The Book of Mormon begins with writings of a prophet named Nephi who left Jerusalem with his father and family about 600 years before the birth of Christ. Just as the Bible is a record of the prophets in and around Jerusalem teaching the people before and after the life of the Savior, so the Book of Mormon is a record of the prophets in the Americas teaching the people before and after the life of the Savior. Both testify of His death, ressurection and atoning sacrifice. Show more Show less
