Hi I'm Alexandra

Wife and mother of two. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being a stay at home mom! There is always something to do! I enjoy reading and playing games.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert to the church. This gospel has blessed and enriched my lives in ways that I did not even know were possible! I am most grateful for the knowledge that we still have living prophets that lead us and guide us. I know that our Savior Jesus Christ is at the head of this church. I know that God lives and that we are spiritual sons and daughters of His! Most of all I am thankful to know that through the atonement of Jesus Christ we can be forgiven if we truly repent of our sins. I know that Jesus is the Christ and He died for each one of us so that we did not have to suffer as He did. We need only to come to Him.

How I live my faith

My family and I attend church every Sunday. I work with the youth ages 12-18. I enjoy being with them they are so much fun and really strengthen my testimony. The youth and other youth leaders also get together again on Wednesdays and we get to play sports, work on our skills with a variety of activities and get to strengthen our knowledge and love for our Savior through talking about scriptures, service to others and fellowshipping with one another.

Who is the Mormon prophet today?

Alexandra
Our prophet today is President Thomas S. Monson. Just like there were prophets in the old and new testament we have a prophet today. Since the gospel was restored the Lord has called a prophet. Before I came to this church I always wondered why we did not have a living prophet on the earth. I remembered how the bible said that the Lord is the same yesterday today and forever. I knew in my heart that the Lord cared for us as much as He did for the other people who lived in the ancient times. When I learned that the gospel was restored and heard that their was a prophet called I knew in my heart that this was the church of God. Show more Show less

How are modesty and chastity related? How can parents teach their children to be modest in dress, language and behavior?

Alexandra
Modesty and chastity are related because they both have to do with the sacredness of our bodies. Our bodies are temples and as such we need to have a respect for them. As a parent I believe the best way to teach your children these principles is by living them. Parents are a child's first teachers. Show more Show less

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Alexandra
No. We help all people regardless of faith, creed, race or origin. We do not discriminate anyone. That is the beautiful thing, knowing that we ALL are spiritual sons and daughters of our Father in Heaven whether you are a member or not. This principal has enriched my life immensely, by serving others my love for them either blossoms and or grows. It always teaches me to "love one another as Jesus has loved you." Show more Show less
