Hi I'm Carolyn

I'm a wife, a mom, and a friend. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I stay home full-time with my three wonderful children while my husband works hard as an anesthesiology resident. Life is good! When I'm not driving carpools, arranging play dates, and going to the YMCA, I like reading good books, playing the piano, and organizing. And even though I'm not the most fabulous cook, I really enjoy trying. Spending quality time with family and friends is my favorite thing to do.

Why I am a Mormon

Because it makes me happy! I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (aka the Mormon church) is true and it contains the full gospel of Jesus Christ. Striving to live the gospel allows my Father in Heaven to bless me and my family immeasurably. Having been born into a Mormon family, I've been taught how to live the gospel all my life. However, I didn't know for myself that it is true until I was a teenager. Knowing that it is true brings me constant peace, comfort, and direction. Being a Mormon makes life so enjoyable!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to follow the example of my Savior, Jesus Christ. I try to do this by praying, studying the scriptures, and serving others on a daily basis. Also, utilizing the Atonement in asking for forgiveness for my sins and forgiving others helps me to live my faith. I serve the women ages 18 and older in my church by organizing meetings where we get together and learn how to and/or participate in improving personal spirituality, strengthening our homes and families, and reaching out to serve others. I love it.

How can faith in Jesus Christ influence us in our marriages and family relationships? in our friendships?

Carolyn
Knowing who Jesus Christ is and how His atonement can help us has an amazing influence on anyone's marriage and all relationships. Understanding the atonement helps us to treat each other better, forgive each other easier, and even enjoy each other more. I'm not saying that our relationships are not some of the hardest trials we experience in this life, because they definitely can be. But, when striving to live in accordance with Jesus Christ's teachings, we put our relationships at the top of our priority list which will strengthen them and in turn make life much more enjoyable.
