Hi I'm Travis

I'm a Mormon. I grew up on a farm outside of Pasco Washington. My parents taught me how to work and serve others.

About Me

I appreciate and love the outdoors. Four of my kids ran with me in a 198 mile relay race called Hood to Coast. I enjoy playing or watching many sports. My wife and I have been blessed with 4 boys and 1 girl. Being a Dad and a Grandpa is one of my greatest blessings.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were members of the church so I was brought up in the church. I seen the blessings of living the commandments as a kid. When I graduated from high school I had about 6 months before I turned 19 (the age young men are expected to go on a mission) so I went to a church school (Ricks college) and took two religion classes. Mission Approach and Book of Mormon. Those two classes helped me realize that I really knew the church was true and I really wanted to serve a mission to repay my Heavenly Father for all of the blessings that I had been given. Serving a mission strengthened my testimony of my Savior. I am not anybody famous, just an ordinary person trying to live a good life. My wife and I have been blessed with a great family.

How I live my faith

I have had the opportunity to work with young men in Boy Scouts and numerous other activities. This has provided me the chance to go on several outdoor high adventures. These high adventures are usually a week long trip in the summer like hiking 50 miles in the mountains, in a kayak or canoe fishing, biking, camping and other challenging but fun activities. I love helping others. My kids have always been volunteered to go with me to help people move, clean up yards, or where ever needed.
